developmental toddler groups
Developmental Speech And Language Groups:
This small group is designed for toddlers to develop communication skills while working in a nurturing and social environment. Developmental groups are lead by a masters level, experienced speech language pathologist. Each chid's goals are individualized. Children in groups may have goals that target expressive and receptive language, social skills, phonology, articulation, and or fluency. Clinicians will promote increased:
•Engagement
•Turn Taking
• Sharing
• Eye Contact
• Self Regulation
• Attention Span
Children are encouraged to engage in group learning, initiate, respond, and maintain verbal interaction and take turns during play routines. Depending on the level of the group guided play, circle time, and table top language activities are used so children can practice appropriate language and behaviors with their peers. Parents are required to remain at the facility for the duration of their child's therapy.

ABA Enhanced Developmental Group:
Our enhanced developmental group offers individualized curriculum and instruction created to meet the specific needs of each child. Programs are assessment based and focus on developing verbal behavior and learner readiness. Instruction is delivered in both the natural environment as well as during tabletop instruction, dyads and when possible, small groups. Our primary goal is the development of learner readiness/school readiness abilities. We want each child to have the tools they need to be prepared for a life of successful learning opportunities.
Each 2 Hour Session includes 30 minutes of Parent-Child Group.
Some Curriculum Areas Include:
• Verbal Behavior/Functional Communication Including:
• Requesting (mands)
• Labeling (tacts)
• Conversation/songs/fill-ins (intraverbals)
• Joint Attention
• Play Skills
• Imitation
• Self-Help
• Social Skills
Parent and Child Language Groups:
Parents and/or caregivers, with their children, participate in the parent and child group sessions. The leader demonstrates clinical strategies and how activities can be incorporated into their child's natural environment. Focus is placed on the partnership between parents and/or caregivers and the group leader; emphasizing parent training in order to accomplish generalization.
Family Training And Support Groups:
Our family support groups are led by a Speech Language Pathologist. Family Training and Support Groups provide a valuable learning opportunity for parents, offering:

• Specific instruction on effective techniques used by the group or individual therapist that can be tried at home by the parent.
• Information and specific suggestions regarding child development, play skills, effective discipline, and parent resources.
